About

I'm interested in a variety of areas, and as a folklore student have a great amount of freedom to explore them all...depending on how long I live!! I am mostly intersted in issues of belief, cultural tourism, the commodification of culture and tradition, popular culture, popular and some folk/world music studies, ballad, folklore and literature, folk literature (re: folk tale, marchen, tall tale, legend, etc.), public sector folklore, applied folklore, health systems, ethnography, personal experience narrative...just to name a few. I am hoping to look at the intersection where literary, cultural and belief tourisms meet for my dissertation.
